Stamford Bridge – 11 Oct 25

Today saw six Tandem pairings set out from Stamford Bridge on a 22 mile circuit of North Yorkshire. Although initially a little cool with some lingering mist, the Sun broke through and we had unbroken blue skies for the rest of the ride. Passing through beautiful rural villages and autumnal countryside, this really is one of our most enjoyable and picturesque rides.

A landscape scene looking over a river, green vegetation softening the banks and bright blue sky with very faint fluffy clouds across it.

Chapeau to first time Pilot Marie-Anne who was ably assisted by her powerhouse stoker Jules. Also, to first time stoker Steve G with experienced pilot Barney up front. As usual, there were lots of laughs and smiley faces.

Our mandatory café stop was at the end of the ride in the Balloon Tree café. I can highly recommend the pumpkin cake, although I suspect this may only be on the menu for a limited time once all of the lanterns go out.

Well done TT another successful day of tandem riding and some very happy and well fed Trekkers.
