After the seering heat of the last few weeks it was a much cooler day for our jaunt around the wonderful Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire.
Four tandems and a solo made it around the forest tracks which are mostly on compacted gravel so care was required particularly on the corners.
The ride is slightly undulating but mostly flat through the trees emerging onto an escarpment with great views over the valley below.
The end of the ride was a 4 mile stretch mostly downhill to the visitor centre on fresh tarmac, an opportunity to pick up some speed for some.

On reaching the cafe at the visitor centre we discovered that there was a power cut, but undeterred Lou found a terrific cafe and farm shop just outside Pickering. So we went there!
All in all another great day out with Tandem Trekkers.

We certainly enjoyed the paths and tracks through the forest
