For once we had more volunteers to pilot than stokers on this beautiful bank holiday
Saturday.
There was a great amount of anticipation for this ride, we had 5 newly inducted riders
and 7 tandems in total, 8 if you count Barney who was test riding one solo. We also had
2 other solo riders, so we were well prepared.
No trailer loading required this morning. The group rode as one loose ‘no drop’ group
from our base in Mirfield until the Greenway started properly, then everyone was able to
ride at a pace that suited them as far as the Station at Low Moor, on the outskirts of
Bradford.

A couple of riders opted to stop and keep Hayley company, at The Sunflower
Pot Café at Liversedge for an early brunch, others joined them on their return from Low
Moor.

By the time we got to the café the volume of chatter had risen and fellow cyclists joined
in with discussions as members enthused about our wonderful club.

No incidents to report on this ride, just friendship, great riding, 3 more competent pilots,
1 returning stoker following a period off the bikes and 2 fantastic new stokers. It was
great to see evwryone smiling!

Next week is another traffic free, mostly flat route, this time slightly further afield, enjoy
the ride
