Today saw the Tandem Trekkers return to one of our all favourites, the Spen Valley Greenway.
Eight Tandems and two solo riders set off from storage to ride up to Low Moor train station before returning to the Sunflower Pot Café for some refuelling and our usual warm welcome from Hayley, the owner.
There were a real mix of new riders and some old faces returning to ride with us for the first time this year.
It was good to see them back with us and enjoying the excellent riding conditions, with lots of warm sunshine and a light breeze.
A number of our riders took full advantage of the mostly flat off road route to stretch their legs a little. Lots of discussion and laughs as usual.
On our return to storage, our chief mechanic, ably assisted by some of our volunteer pilots, held a maintenance session to make sure that our fleet of Tandems are all in good working order before our residential trip in Shropshire next weekend.
