Trans Pennine Trail – 27 Jun 26

Sometimes change is beneficial.

Today’s ride was scheduled to be elsewhere, however with the weather set to Scorchio (albeit ess scorching than earlier in the week when it hit 33 celcius) it was deemed a less demanding route and shadier environment would make a ride feasible rather than cancelling outright.

After only a little thinking, we decided we’d go for the TPT.

And what a good decision that was!

A gentle breeze, quiet off road route, lots of lovely tall trees providing cover and a decent cafe stop- what more could we ask for.

The reminder to take it easy, dress sensibly and drink plenty of water helped too!

Even mother nature, El Ninio and climate change can’t stop  trekkers getting out on a summers day!
