Birkin – 25 Oct 25

Today, 7 tandems were out. We were lucky to have 2 quite new pilots out with us, Rayyah and Marie-Anne, giving us a really powerful female majority. We had 4 female pilots and 4 female stokers.

A picnic bench filled with trekkers, wrapped up in cags, gloves and long sleeves.

When we got to Birkin fisheries the place was decorated for halloween but I don’t think we added much to the scare factor.

A trio of ghouls, or may be just Katie, Muz and Steve stood in a Halloween frame big enough to stand in, decorated with pumpkins and ghosts.

The sun was shining and the sky was blue, as it usually is for the Birkin ride, but the wind was a bit fierce at times, making it feel Baltic at  some points. We didn’t hang about and completed the route at a good pace.

A skeleton fishing in a dingy on grey water- obviously perished in the Baltic climate!

It was not the weather for lounging about eating ice-cream.
