Church Fenton – 28 Jun 25

It was warm; very warm. And it was windy. Great when the westerly was behind us; not so  when pedalling into it. But on balance, a benefit for the 12 Trekkers on today’s circuit around Church Fenton;  it helped us all from overheating. That said, a number of us did take advantage of a campsite tap to replenish our supplies of Yorkshire’s finest water.

Staying with the theme of a tailwind – as if the Mark-Muz tandem needed any assistance from nature, Muz apparently discovered that by standing up, whenever pedalling allowed, his body could function as a sail, thus keeping the momentum going for that much longer.

And on returning to the Fisheries, it seemed that ice cream and cake was more popular than their chips!
