Keith and Collette pre-pot hole.

Arguments with pot holes, especially when cycling, are not recommended – as Keith and Collette discovered today. Deceptively difficult to spot in both low bright sunlight and strong shadows, they are an absolute scourge to anyone out and about on a bike. Thankfully today’s incident was at very low speed, and despite taking quite a nasty tumble (suggesting a visit to A&E for a check over was in order) I’m happy to report that both Trekkers, though sore, are now safely on their way home. “I feel like I’ve just had three G&T’s” quipped Collette following the fall. “Lucky you” replied Martin.

Six of the original eight tandems, accompanied by a couple of solos, then continued up the Greenway rendezvousing at the Sunflower Cafe.

Warren and Hilary hope to join us as Pilots next year.

Talking of the two solos, it was encouraging to be joined by Warren and Hilary who have expressed interest in joining us as pilots next season. It was also good to see Kieran on his first ride out with us as a stoker.

Last but not least – Carlie waits patiently for her pilot.
