{"id":4377,"date":"2026-07-22T11:52:59","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T11:52:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tandemtrekkers.org.uk\/blog\/?p=4377"},"modified":"2026-07-22T11:53:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T11:53:21","slug":"dalby-forest-18-jul-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tandemtrekkers.org.uk\/blog\/dalby-forest-18-jul-26\/","title":{"rendered":"Dalby Forest &#8211; 18 Jul 26"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the seering heat of the last few weeks it was a much cooler day for our jaunt around the wonderful Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four tandems and a solo made it around the forest tracks which are mostly on compacted gravel so care was required particularly on the corners.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ride is slightly undulating but mostly flat through the trees emerging onto an escarpment with great views over the valley below.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The end of the ride was a 4 mile stretch mostly downhill to the visitor centre on fresh tarmac,\u00a0 an opportunity to pick up some speed for some.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"771\" src=\"https:\/\/tandemtrekkers.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/img-20260719-wa00172913438206957041746-1024x771.jpg\" alt=\"A group of trekkers sit around a large farmhouse style table in the centre of a busy cafe.
