As ofter happens good things all turn up at the same time. Today was the same for TT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members set out from HQ to experience a new ride we are referring to as The Hartshead Loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new ride utilises some of the quieter local roads taking in some great hills and corners up to Hartsead village and onto Clifton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weather was glorious and a few stops were required but noone minded with countryside views and sounds, a grassy knoll or a stone wall to perch on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We combined the return by linking back onto the Greenway at Cleckheaton to parttake in refreshments at the Sunflower Pot Cafe and cheer on the wonderful Ian and Angie who were doing the fundraising walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ian’s walk started bright and early (around 7am). It took him from TTs base near Mirfield Station on to the Spen Valley Greenway (SVGW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ian,a stalwart TT stoker, who is totally blind, with the help of his guide and friend Angie, proceeded to walk the 9 miles to the old Low Moor station on the SVGW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supported by Barney on a tandem and cheered on by other users of the Greenway, TT members, friends and family, the duo adr it to half way for a refuelling stop at the cafe where they bumped into the TT riders. (We like it when a plan come together!) Coffee, cake and a reprieve from the pace done they set off again to return to TT base in Mirfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes vital sustenance looks similar to a treat…but it’s not, they’re very different! (I swear!)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

They competed the entire 18 mile walk in just over 6 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The money raised by Ians GoFundMe and collections from the cafe, kindly organised by our friend ad owner Hayley, were over \u00a3900 on the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These funds will help TT deliver the fantastic rides and support you’ve come to know and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are so very grateful to Ian and TT would just like to thank him and Angie for their hard work and support to the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
