Another perfect day for cycling brought us back to Boroughbridge. A 25-mile ride through some beautiful North Yorkshire villages with only 450ft of elevation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We enjoyed quiet roads for the majority of the ride, bordered by grass verges, adorned with bright yellow daisies and blood red poppies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We sailed around the route in just two hours, passing over the wooden boarded Toll bridge at Aldwark where we saw a large group of kayakers enjoying the river Ure.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0 We passed through numerous delightful little villages with some interesting names such as Great Ouseburn, Ardwark, Flawith, Raskelf and Bafferton Helperby to name a few.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unusually we had more pilots than stokers this weekend, so Louise tried out the back seat for a change, a very different experience from piloting.
We retuned to Boroughbridge for some well-earned lunch where we sat in the garden of the Gilchrist bakery, a little tucked away haven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
