On the longest day of the year, our ride began at York Racecourse a little later than planned. 5 tandems took a trip through the Solar System on the totally off-road, cycle track to Riccall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We passed many cyclists of all ages, and on all manner of machines. One recumbent trike rider even stopped to speak with us, it was our illustrious  Treasurer, Drew, no less!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riccall WI fed and watered us for very few pounds and took numerous photos, we felt like celebrities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forecast 30 degrees temperatures did not materialise and we all made it back to York Cycle Rally, where ice creams and coffees were consumed, stalls browsed, friends encountered and cycles admired.
It rained on our journey home but we didn’t care, by now we were are safely indoors having had an enjoyable ride in the sunshine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
