Despite a near Biniam Girmay incident on Friday night (Giro d’Italia reference there) the designated ride leader was able to present himself at lockup in one piece. As no-one could be found to accompany him this week he rode solo, leading, in time honoured Plaza-Torrean fashion,\u00a0 (Gilbert and Sullivan reference there) from behind. So five tandems and one solo duly went off and this week everyone rode to the top of the Greenway at Lowmoor before going to the cafe, even Martin who was suffering with a chest-infection, although that might be because his pilot Tim hadn’t ridden the Spen route before and rode past regardless… The usual good grub at the Sunflower pot and then back to lock up for another incident-free and dry ride. Special prizes are available to the first person to tell us what the two references above are all \u00a0about. (Special in this case meaning not actually real…..) Anyway,\u00a0 I’m away for two Saturdays now in a hut in Withernsea, so see you all in June. Drew<\/p>\n\n\n\n
