As a voluntary organisation, we&#8217;ve been working hard to provide this since 2014, so to be handed a Focus Club Award by the Duchess of Edinburgh, as part of the British Cycling (BC) Limitless programme is, without doubt, an extremely significant milestone for our charity.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"950\" height=\"822\" src=\"https:\/\/tandemtrekkers.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/limitlesspresentation.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2965\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tandemtrekkers.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/limitlesspresentation.jpg 950w, https:\/\/tandemtrekkers.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/limitlesspresentation-300x260.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tandemtrekkers.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/limitlesspresentation-768x665.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Two of our members, Aisha and Drew, receiving the Focus Club award from HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Friday, 23 February 2024,\u00a0British Cycling held its <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BritishCycling\/status\/1761109567679742187\">Limitless Club\u00a0celebrations at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester<\/a>, a day to be inspired, learn, and connect with others who are passionate about including more people in the cycling world. Limitless is BC&#8217;s inclusive cycling programme, which provides cycling opportunities for disabled people, regardless of age, impairment and ability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were absolutely delighted when we learned that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.royal.uk\/news-and-activity\/2024-02-26\/the-duke-and-duchess-of-edinburgh-meet-athletes-at-the-national\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prince Edward and his wife, the Duchess of Edinburgh<\/a>, were attending, the Duchess being Patron of British Cycling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For an organisation like ourselves to receive the Focus Club award, and to be thanked in recognition for the difference we aim to make in the lives of other disabled cyclists, means the world.
